"Proud to be Ashamed to be Jewish" JVP to protest Jerusalem String Quartet

The commitment of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Women in Black to the arts as free expression apparently runs as deep as their commitment to Judaism.

In violation of the The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Article 19 which states:

(1) Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.
(2) Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which he is the author.

Jewish Voice for Peace and the "Israel is always wrong" crowd are organizing a protest of the Jerusalem String quartet. The same people that decried the "censorship" of children's art from Gaza are teamed up in an unholy alliance to disrupt the southern California appearance of the Jerusalem String Quartet.

Who routinely stands with the enemies of Israel? Who protests cultural events? Then who whines piteously about their exclusion from the "Big tent" of Jewish community life? Only the proud to be ashamed to be Jewish organization of JVP.

Their action alert follows:
